Godzilla Minus One – 4K UHD and Blu Ray Release


After a long wait by fans, the hugely successful movie Godzilla Minus One is getting a 4K UHD and Blu ray release in the UK with a host of special features.

Synopsis:

In postwar Japan, Godzilla brings new devastation to an already scorched landscape. With no military intervention or government help in sight, the survivors must join together in the face of despair and fight back against an unrelenting horror. From renowned director, screenwriter & VFX visionary Takashi Yamazaki (The Eternal Zero, Stand By Me Doraemon) comes Godzilla Minus One, a film about the power of home in the face of despair.

The film stars Ryunosuke Kamiki, Minami Hamabe, Yuki Yamada, Munetaka Aoki, Hidetaka Yoshioka, Sakura Ando, and Kuranosuke Sasaki, with music by Naoki Sato. 

 

The GODZILLA MINUS ONE Deluxe Edition is housed on a rigid slipcase containing four discs:

Disc 1: The film on 4K UHD Blu-ray.
Disc 2: The film on Blu-ray.
Disc 3: GODZILLA MINUS ONE/MINUS COLOR on Blu-ray (exclusive to the Deluxe Edition!).
Disc 4: Bonus Blu-ray packed with special features, all of which are English subtitled.

The release also includes a comprehensive 68-page booklet featuring a message by director Takashi Yamazaki, an introduction to the film, a host of promotional artwork, and a wealth of interviews with key staff and other information, including the colour-grading of GODZILLA MINUS ONE/MINUS COLOR, and the operation to bring the film to global success.

The on-disc bonus features include a Making Of feature, VFX featurette, a special behind-the-scenes program, a whole host of event footage, and a collection of trailers for the film.
For the home cinema aficionados, the 4K UHD Blu-ray features a Dolby Vision HDR Presentation, with audio in Dolby Atmos for the Japanese audio (with English subtitles). Both the Blu-ray edition and GODZILLA MINUS ONE/MINUS COLOR also support Dolby Atmos Japanese audio with English subtitles and 5.1 English audio.

 

for those who want to experience this movie without all the bells and whistles, the film will also be available on Standard Edition Blu-ray. The Standard Edition release will include a single disc featuring the film only, in Japanese with English subtitles, and English-language audio options.
