The Hammer Films production, Captain Clegg made in 1962 and starring Peter Cushing, Oliver Reed and Patrick Allen is getting a remastered Blu-ray release from Indicator in the U.K.
When Captain Collier (Patrick Allen) investigates reports of smuggling in the tiny coastal village of Dymchurch, the villagers, under the leadership of Parson Blyss (Cushing), refuse to cooperate. Collier’s men are plagued by apparitions of ‘marsh phantoms’ and tales of Captain Clegg, the fearsome pirate leader buried there… Or was he?
